Job summary

Luxfer MEL Technologies is seeking an experienced Industrial Facilities Manager to lead a small on-site engineering team and coordinate with external contractors. You will oversee site utilities, steam, water treatment and effluent plants, ensuring compliance with EA permits and ISO 14001, while driving energy improvements and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Science, Maths, and English.
• Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• Min 5 years' experience as Facilities Manager in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and ISO 14001 is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and utilities plant to determine repairs and maintenance.
• Manage HVAC, security and fire systems, ensuring contracts and tests are on schedule.
• Organise workload of facilities team and develop engineers and apprentices.
• Ensure essential utilities are available to production and update SOPs.
• Provide facilities input to CAPEX plans and forecast needs.
• Ensure safety, security and environmental compliance; maintain records and audits.
• Oversee supplier services, negotiate contracts, monitor costs and timeliness.
• Develop emergency response plans for site safety.
