North Midlands Operations Limited in Wolverhampton is seeking a maintenance electrician to contribute to preventative maintenance and defect rectification on all plant and equipment. You will provide electrical fitting services throughout the plant and assist in other disciplines, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include planned maintenance per schedule, liaising with supervisors, maintaining LV electrical systems, and assisting with outages using Excel and Altair.

Competenze

• City and Guilds 236(0), part 1&2/ an NVQ level 3, or equivalent Electrical engineering recognised apprenticeship C&G 5357.
• Practical experience of electrical work including small power and lights, control wiring to PLC/DCS systems, motors over 15kVA (including testing).
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Attention to detail with ability to interpret data.
• Basic IT skills, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Mansioni

• Carry out planned maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule and report irregularities.
• Work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and maintenance charge hand.
• In the absence of supervisors, liaise with Operations, review overnight logs, and prioritise work.
• Ensure all work is safely assessed before starting and safety standards are maintained.
• Maintain and test all LV electrical systems.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Assist in completing the scheduled operations programme for proving plant security and changeover routines; record tests.
• Source, order, and purchase spare parts within allocated budgets.
• Report jobs and findings on Altair and to the plant manager for emergencies.
• Carry out minor welding repairs and use workshop tools, lifting equipment, etc.
