Job summary

South East Water is hiring an electrically qualified technician to maintain, repair and install electrical plant across pumping stations, reservoirs and treatment works. You will handle control panels, pumps and water treatment equipment, and respond to breakdowns while supervising contractors where needed.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified to Level 3 NVQ diploma or equivalent (e.g., HNC or apprenticeship).
• Experience in industrial, commercial or domestic electrical settings.
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• IT literacy to update digital records and reports.
• Valid UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and install electrical plant and water equipment.
• Liaise with and supervise external contractors on-site.
• Support the Production team with specialised tasks.
• Issue Permits to Work and follow safety SOPs.
• Update site operating manuals and monitor site security.
• Maintain accurate records in work systems and admin tasks.
• Participate in standby rota for after-hours support.
