Job summary

March Ltd is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support project delivery and business growth through accurate, detailed cost estimates for electrical installation works in process industries.

The role requires interpreting drawings, P&IDs, and tender documentation, developing competitive pricing, and liaising with suppliers. You will work closely with project engineers and managers to define scope, identify risks, and help transition from tender to delivery while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience in process/manufacturing/industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations in process environments (MCCs, control panels, containment).
• Familiarity with BS7671 and ATEX regulations.
• Experience with estimating software packages (Trimble/Amtech, ConQuest or similar).
• Ability to read complex drawings and documentation.
• Good commercial awareness and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specs and tender documentation for process industry projects.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and cabling installations.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment.
• Compile and submit tender packages per client specifications and project requirements.
• Work with project engineers to define scope and resolve technical queries.
• Identify value engineering opportunities while assessing risks and commercial considerations.
• Support tender-to-delivery transition with clear scope and cost understanding.
• Stay informed on market rates, technologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to improving estimating tools, systems, and cost databases.
