Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering company delivering electrical installation and engineering projects across industrial and process environments.

This is a hands‑on role for a qualified electrician who enjoys varied work, solving practical problems and seeing projects through to completion, including testing, commissioning and on‑site support on industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or time served apprenticeship.
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment of Competence.
• Experience carrying out electrical installations.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Strong safety and installation standards knowledge.
• Independent and site-based teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical installation work across industrial and process engineering environments.
• Installing and connecting electrical equipment, containment, cabling and associated systems.
• Working with electrical panels, control equipment and industrial machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and installation documentation.
• Supporting electrical testing, fault‑finding and commissioning activities.
• Identifying and resolving electrical installation issues on site.
• Working alongside engineers, project teams and other trades to complete installations safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, electrical safety and site compliance.
• Supporting projects across a range of industrial customer sites.
