Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join an established industrial engineering company. The role focuses on installing and wiring across industrial sites, reading schematics, testing and commissioning with a hands-on, safety‑driven approach.

The position offers a permanent role, 40 hours per week, and progression opportunities within a busy engineering team. Overtime opportunities exist with attractive earnings potential, including a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or time served apprenticeship.
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment of Competence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical installation work across industrial and process engineering environments.
• Installing and connecting electrical equipment, containment, cabling and associated systems.
• Working with electrical panels, control equipment and industrial machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and installation documentation.
• Supporting electrical testing, fault-finding and commissioning activities.
• Identifying and resolving electrical installation issues on site.
• Working alongside engineers, project teams and other trades to complete installations safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, electrical safety and site compliance.
• Supporting projects across a range of industrial customer sites.
