Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is helping an established engineering employer hire an Industrial Electrical & Controls Engineer in the UK. The role covers site-based and field-based work across industrial plants, providing fault diagnosis and control-system improvements.

You will work with PLCs, motor control, VSDs and automation equipment, reading drawings and supporting commissioning activities on diverse industrial sites.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
• Electrical/HNC/HND qualifications recognised in industry.
• Experience with IPAF/PASMA and site safety qualifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve faults across industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems and identify faults in automated processes.
• Support installation, modification and commissioning of electrical/control systems.
• Fault-find on motor control centres, electrical panels and VSDs.
• Read electrical drawings and control-system documentation.
• Assist with PLC, HMI and SCADA troubleshooting and improvements.
• Support machinery upgrades and automation improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and site teams to minimise downtime.
