Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking an Industrial Cleaner at the Mars site in Birstall. The role is fixed on weekends, 7:00am to 12:00pm, with a part-time contract of 10 hours per week. You will maintain cleanliness across production areas in a busy food production environment.

Candidates should have previous cleaning experience in similar environments, be reliable, and adhere to health and safety standards. The role requires teamwork and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults, hazards or maintenance issues.
• Follow site Health & Safety, hygiene and security procedures.
• Support additional and emergency cleaning requirements when needed.

Rate of Pay: £12.80 per hour

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Industrial Cleaner to join our Sodexo team at the Mars site in Birstall.

Working within a busy food production environment, you'll play an important role in maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across the site. This will include cleaning factory and production areas, as well as carrying out high-level and specialist cleaning tasks.

This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail, a strong approach to health and safety and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out industrial, factory and high-level cleaning to required hygiene standards.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks while minimising disruption to production.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults, hazards or maintenance issues.
• Follow all Sodexo and site Health & Safety, hygiene and security procedures.
