Job summary

Sodexo is hiring an Industrial Cleaner for the Mars site in Birstall. This is a permanent part-time role, 10 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday 7:00am–12:00pm, at £12.80 per hour.

You will work in a busy food production environment, cleaning factory and production areas, high-level cleaning tasks, with emphasis on hygiene and health and safety.

A reliable, detail-oriented team player with previous cleaning experience is required.

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing or food production environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out industrial, factory and high-level cleaning to required hygiene standards.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks while minimising disruption to production.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults, hazards or maintenance issues.
• Follow all Sodexo and site Health & Safety, hygiene and security procedures.
• Support additional and emergency cleaning requirements when needed.

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Industrial Cleaner to join our Sodexo team at the Mars site in Birstall.

Working within a busy food production environment, you'll play an important role in maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across the site. This will include cleaning factory and production areas, as well as carrying out high-level and specialist cleaning tasks.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, a strong approach to health and safety and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out industrial, factory and high-level cleaning to required hygiene standards.
