Qualifications

• Experience developing software for industrial machinery or control systems.
• Background in software development in engineering, manufacturing, automation or related technical environment.
• Understanding how software interacts with machinery, hardware or control systems.
• Interest in applying software skills to engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software for existing and future engineering projects.
• Work closely with engineering, product development and production teams to understand requirements and develop suitable software solutions.
• Produce software specifications, technical documentation, test plans and procedures.
• Develop and test software to ensure systems meet technical requirements and quality standards.
• Investigate software and system issues, troubleshoot faults and implement effective fixes and improvements.
• Support machine trials, installation, commissioning and validation activities.
• Work with customers, end users and external contractors to ensure systems meet project requirements.
• Support the ongoing development and improvement of existing control systems, including legacy software written in VB.NET.
• Assist with technical reviews, knowledge sharing and training colleagues where required.
• Keep technical knowledge up to date and support occasional overseas site installations when needed.
