Job summary

Actemium Automation in Warrington is recruiting a Software Controls Engineer to develop, test and commission PLC software for client platforms. You will design HMI/SCADA interfaces and integrate field devices within control systems.

You will produce documentation, support commissioning and provide technical support to clients and operations teams. A driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Practical experience developing control software for industrial automation projects.
• Proficiency with PLC and HMI platforms across multiple vendors.
• Understanding of industrial communications and fieldbus technologies.
• Experience with drives, I/O systems and instrumentation.
• Strong documentation and testing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and commission PLC software for client platforms.
• Design and deploy HMI/SCADA screens and operator interfaces.
• Integrate field devices and networks into control systems.
• Produce software documentation, FAT/SAT procedures and test plans.
• Support site commissioning, fault diagnosis and client acceptance testing.
• Provide technical support to clients and operations teams.
