Job summary

Volvo Penta Industrial is seeking an Area Account Manager to manage strategic OEM and key accounts across the UK and Ireland, driving growth in the Industrial market and contributing to a £36 million target by 2030. You will work with engineering, procurement and leadership teams to connect customers with Volvo Penta solutions.

You will travel regularly across the UK and Ireland, with base in Warwick, and represent a premium brand at exhibitions and industry events while managing full sales

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales and account management with large key accounts.
• Strong technical background or the ability to understand engineered solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to build credibility at all levels.
• Customer-focused, with a commercial approach and ability to identify opportunities.
• Organised, with strong relationship-building and ability to manage multiple opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer relationship and lead commercial discussions.
• Coordinate opportunities across Volvo Penta to deliver right solutions.
• Win new platforms linked to engine or system emission changes (Stage 6, Euro 7, Tier 5).
• Identify opportunities in energy transition (BESS, EV powertrain, alternative fuels).
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and proposals; manage full sales lifecycle.
