Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Indirect Buyer to support procurement operations on a permanent basis. The role will manage indirect suppliers and services across the organisation, helping to control costs and maintain business continuity.

You will place and manage purchase orders, review requisitions, and work with ERP systems to resolve issues. The ideal candidate has experience in procurement, strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and can operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Buyer, Procurement or Purchasing role in aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or MRO.
• Understanding of indirect procurement and supplier management.
• Ability to analyse supplier information and support evidence-based purchasing decisions.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisation and project management abilities.
• Proficient in ERP systems and purchasing data.

Responsibilities

• Manage indirect supplier relationships to meet service, cost, delivery, quality targets.
• Place and manage purchase orders, review requisitions, respond to ERP messages, and follow up on orders.
• Resolve invoice issues, pricing discrepancies, cancellations, expediting requirements and queries.
• Maintain procurement parameters, including supplier agreements, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery frequencies and service levels.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and supplier price performance across assigned categories.
• Identify and manage supply and service continuity risks across facilities, MRO, tooling, services, office supplies, IT and other indirect requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, market conditions, capacity, pricing trends and service risks, supporting mitigation plans.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, suppliers and commodity teams to improve processes and resolve procurement issues.
