Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Procurement Manager for a market-leading manufacturing business. You will oversee a small team of Buyers, drive procurement strategies, and lead supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost competitiveness.

Qualifications

Procurement experience at senior or management level.
Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
Experience supervising or leading teams or mentoring others.
Strategic procurement skills: negotiating, supplier relationship management, contracts.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
Track record of driving procurement processes and policy improvements.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies across existing product ranges and NPI.
Align procurement strategy with overall business and commercial planning.
Supply market intelligence and supplier selection - cradle-to-grave.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.
Manage suppliers through KPI metrics such as QCD, OTIF, OTD.
Manage a small team of Buyers.
Improve procurement efficiencies by analysing the use of MRP.
Drive procurement policy, processes and best practices across the team and wider stakeholders.
