Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the INA team in the MoD Nuclear Submarine Build Programme. The role focuses on independent witnessing of manufacturing and testing of Naval Reactor Plants, with travel to supplier sites and occasional MoD locations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, knowledge of relevant processes, and strong communication to work with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Experience conducting manufacturing process audits, preferably BPVC related.
• Understanding of technical specifications and continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site Independent Third-Party Witnessing of NRP manufacturing and testing.
• Provide impartial, balanced advice to MoD on manufacture of NRPs.
• Represent INA at MoD meetings and with contractors.
• Prepare and brief investigative reports on findings.
• Adhere to safety, technical and regulatory standards and information security.
