Job summary

Victim Support in Cumbria is seeking an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) for a part-time 18.75-hour role. You will deliver 1-2-1 support to victims in the community across Cumbria and respond to those affected by the Early Release Scheme.

A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential due to travel requirements within Cumbria. The role is homebased with travel across the region, offering flexible working options including hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Complete risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of victims in line with VS operating procedures.
• Deliver one-to-one interventions that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and recovery.
• Work closely with criminal justice process agencies and other partners to ensure that each victim is heard and their needs are prioritised.
• Proactively promote the service, raising awareness of services and working collaboratively with professionals to improve access to and quality of services for all victims of sexual violence, abuse or exploitation.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address safeguarding concerns.
• Respond and support those affected by the Early Release Scheme
