Overview

The service operates county-wide, requiring candidates to work across various localities to meet service demands. We promote flexible working arrangements, including remote work from different bases and from home, to provide the best service. However, the post holders will need to chair complex meetings across North Yorkshire as necessary, with in-person meetings with children and families.

Key Duties

• Deliver all aspects of the IRO guidance
• Chair reviews and oversee plans for Children in Care
• Chair Child Protection Conferences
• Undertake Regulation 44 visits to children’s homes
• Conduct Annual Reviews for Foster Carers
• Contribute to quality assurance and improve outcomes for children and young people

Qualifications

Applicants must be qualified Social Workers, hold a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
