The service is county-wide, requiring candidates to work across various localities to meet service demands. We promote flexible working arrangements, including remote work from different bases and from home, to provide the best service. However, chairing complex meetings across North Yorkshire is a requirement, and in-person meetings with children and their families are expected.

You will play a key role in safeguarding children and young people, working from various locations across North Yorkshire as needed.

As an IRO, your duties include chairing reviews, overseeing care plans, conducting Child Protection Conferences, Regulation 44 visits, and Annual Reviews for Foster Carers. You will contribute to quality assurance and strive to improve outcomes for children and young people, maintaining high standards of care.
Applicants must be qualified Social Workers, hold a Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent), and be registered with Social Work England.
