An established industry player seeks Independent Reviewing Officers to join a dedicated team in North Yorkshire. Salary: From £45,718 up to £49,764 per annum pro rata + relocation support

The service is county wide and therefore candidates will be expected to work across other locality areas as needed to meet service demand. We promote flexible working with the ability to work remotely from various bases as well as from home, to provide the best service. However, the post holders will be required to chair complex meetings across North Yorkshire as needed, including in-person meetings with children and their families.

In North Yorkshire, IROs are expected to deliver all aspects of the Independent Reviewing Officer guidance: chair reviews, oversee care plans, chair Child Protection Conferences, undertake Regulation 44 visits to children’s homes, and conduct Annual Reviews for Foster Carers. You will have a vital quality assurance role and the opportunity to improve outcomes for children and young people, promoting high standards of care for those looked after by the Local Authority.
Applicants must be qualified Social Workers, holding a Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent), and registered with Social Work England.
