Job summary

JRHT is seeking an Independent Living Assistant in York (New Lodge, New Earswick) to support residents across Independent Living Schemes. You will help residents live safely and independently, providing housing management and wellbeing support, liaising with repairs and services, and maintaining records.

The role requires strong communication and IT skills, independence, and the ability to manage priorities. Driving licence and access to a car are needed for across-site roles.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of managing tenancies or delivering housing management services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and confident working independently with good administrative and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage housing and tenancy matters and respond to resident enquiries.
• Maintain accurate resident and tenancy records.
• Liaise with repairs and property services to keep schemes safe and well maintained.
• Support residents moving into their new homes and assist with engagement activities.
• Help identify when residents may need additional health, care or community support and connect them to services.
