Job summary

Keys Group in Paignton is seeking a Learning Disabilities Support Worker to help individuals live more independently in a brand-new supported living service. You will support daily routines, promote independence, and assist with health care needs and personal care within a caring team.

We provide full training, coaching and development, with a focus on building skills, confidence and personal goals for the people we support in our community.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
