Job summary

Keys Group in Paignton is seeking a Learning Disabilities Support Worker to help individuals with learning disabilities live more independently and achieve personal goals. You’ll work with residents, families and a wider team to improve quality of life and independence.

No prior sector experience is required as full training is provided; the role focuses on daily support, encouraging independence and developing life skills with individuals in our brand-new supported living service.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning disabilities is beneficial but not required.
• Full training, coaching and development provided.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Promoting independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining health care needs and assisting with routine appointments or medication administration.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Providing guidance and emotional support.
