Job summary

Spectra Care Ltd, part of the Optimo Care Group, is hiring Support Workers in the East of London region. You will help individuals live independently, assist with daily activities, and promote inclusion in the community.

This role requires compassionate, flexible and reliable people who can work as part of a consistent team. Full training is provided, and the role supports a variety of health and social care needs in clients' own homes.

Qualifications

• A caring and compassionate attitude, with a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with individuals with diverse needs.
• Knowledge of person-centred care principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and willingness to provide support outside of the home setting when required.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Weekend availability
• Experience in a supported living service (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals to live independently: Encourage independence in daily activities.
• Administering medication: Follow medication protocols accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and accessible home: Keep living spaces tidy and safe.
• Promoting healthy relationships: Support positive relationships with family and community.
• Supporting with day-to-day activities: Assist with shopping, appointments, social activities, and hobbies.
• Accessing the community: Enable access to community resources and activities.
• Supporting outside the home setting: Accompany individuals to appointments or activities as needed.
• Promoting independence and individuality: Respect personal preferences and choices.
• Report to the Service Manager: Regularly update care plans and progress.
