Job summary

Ability Housing Association is seeking a Housing and Support Officer to cover Essex, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and the LB of Hillingdon. You will manage a patch of around 120 self-contained homes, helping residents live independently by supporting tenancy management, budgeting and independent living skills.

Role requires a car and access to your own vehicle, plus an enhanced DBS check. A proactive, can‑do attitude and willingness to visit properties across the designated area are

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for work.
• Enhanced DBS check (to be completed by Ability).
• Experience in housing management or care and support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patch of approximately 120 self-contained homes.
• Support tenants to live independently and manage tenancy and budgets.
• Develop residents' independent living skills.
• Conduct regular estate/scheme inspections to ensure safety and standards.
• Liaise with local authorities, support providers and organisations to coordinate services.
