Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting an Enablement Support Worker to visit people in their homes and communities, providing personalised support based on individual goals. The role focuses on empowering independence through encouragement, practical help and goal-oriented interventions.

You will work across the Rotherham borough, with a 35-hour week in a permanent role. Training, induction and ongoing support are provided, plus access to a RMBC vehicle on duty and uniform.

• Experience in care is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, dressing, meal preparation and mobility.
• Encourage individuals to develop skills and confidence to complete tasks independently.
• Promote health, wellbeing and social inclusion.
• Help access community resources, activities and local support networks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, health professionals, families and carers to achieve positive outcomes.
