Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Southport is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our teams. The role involves a 25-hour weekly contract with rota shifts across weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep-ins. A manual driving licence is preferred but not essential.

You will support individuals to live independently, build relationships, and participate in local community activities. Personal care tasks may be required as part of duties.

• Excellent communication skills and a naturally caring, patient personality.
• Manual driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live independently with budget management, paying bills, housework, appointments and cooking healthy meals.
• Build positive relationships and help people understand the world around them.
• Promote social inclusion by helping access local community events and activities.
• Assist with personal care as needed, including prompting medication and aiding with daily routines.
