Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5/6 Podiatrist to join the city-wide Podiatry Service. The post involves autonomous assessment and treatment planning for complex foot pathologies in clinic and domiciliary settings.

You will contribute to patient care pathways, promote foot health, and work as part of a team while covering for occasional sickness and absence across BCHC sites.

Qualifications

• Podiatry degree required.
• HCPC registration mandatory.
• Nail Surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out new patient assessments and formulate treatment plans to resolve foot pathologies.
• Manage domiciliary visits and wound assessments.
• Perform biomechanical assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Refer to colleagues with senior roles when appropriate and promote minor surgery where suitable.
• Provide care across clinic and home settings and maintain good communication with teams.
