Job summary

Vocal Advocacy is seeking Independent Advocates to help people with learning disabilities have greater choice, control and independence. The role is part-time across North Devon and East Devon, involves travel to communities and occasional visits to our Dartington office, plus admin work from home.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with diverse needs.
• Commitment to helping others have their voice heard.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one advocacy to individuals to understand their rights and choices.
• Help establish and facilitate peer advocacy groups within the community.
• Travel across localities; occasional visits to the Dartington office; admin from home.
