Job summary

An advocacy organization is seeking an Independent Advocate for the Spot Purchase role in South London. You will empower and support clients, providing high-quality advocacy services. Ideal candidates will have a background in advocacy or similar fields, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with vulnerable adults. The position offers a salary of £26,743.64 per annum, flexible home-based work with travel within London, and generous benefits, including 25 days leave and healthcare coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role.
• Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
• Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality instructed and non‑instructed advocacy according to client needs.
• Act on behalf of clients following their instructions.
• Evidence effective, outcome‑focused case management.
• Provide written reports as part of statutory advocacy roles.
• Escalate concerns or complaints to relevant public bodies.
• Employ strong communication and time management skills.
• Maintain excellent IT skills and record keeping.
