Job summary

Red Snapper Recruitment is seeking an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to support survivors in Coventry. This part-time role involves advocacy, risk management, and practical support within a multi-agency framework.

You will work with police, housing, health, and other partners, delivering outreach, safety planning, and case coordination while upholding safeguarding and confidentiality principles.

Qualifications

• IDVA qualification (or working towards) and/or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
• Experience in multi‑agency environments and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk cases with person-centred advocacy.
• Conduct risk and needs assessments and safety planning.
• Represent survivors at MARAC and safeguarding forums.
• Support through criminal and civil justice processes.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and maintain records.
• Provide outreach and contribute to training and awareness.
