Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking Adults Support Workers (Promoting Independence Assistants) based in Worcester with county-wide travel. Flexible day, evening and weekend shifts, part-time and full-time roles. Immediate starts. Includes training and generous benefits.

You will help clients regain independence after discharge, providing compassionate care and enabling self-reliance in their own homes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a can-do attitude, be proactive, compassionate and empathetic.
• Good communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Understanding of health, safety and wellbeing of service users in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Support service users to regain and promote independence after hospital discharge or crisis.
• Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, hygiene) and mobility support.
• Help with meals and daily living tasks, enabling users to do as much as possible themselves.
