Job summary

Hyde Group in London is seeking a Finance Operations Controller (Income) to lead income accounting across rents, service charges, property sales and other receivables. You’ll support a team to ensure accurate recording, strong controls and timely month-end reporting.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Transactions, you’ll drive process improvements, automation and data quality while collaborating with Housing and service charge colleagues to reflect rent-setting activity in financial records.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing sector with income accounting and rent/service charges.
• Understanding of income recognition, billing, reconciliations.
• Experience leading finance colleagues and prioritising workloads.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving to resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency with finance systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the income accounting team with clear priorities.
• Oversee income processing, billing and cash allocation across accounts.
• Collaborate with Housing and service charge teams on rent-setting reflections in records.
• Review reconciliations, control accounts and deferred income to resolve issues.
• Provide reliable income information with commentary and audit evidence for reporting.
• Improve processes and reporting through automation and better data quality.
