Job summary

Nottingham College is seeking a dedicated Work Experience Coordinator within the Supported Learning team. You will design, develop and maintain high-quality work experience opportunities for learners with SEND, including overseeing the two-day-a-week Pre-Internship placements to ensure they are purposeful and progression-focused.

You will build strong employer partnerships, prepare learners for work, and monitor progress while safeguarding and promoting inclusive practice across all activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work placement opportunities for Supported Learning students and Pre-Internship pathway.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local employers to secure meaningful placements.
• Prepare and support learners for the workplace, including the Pre-Internship programme.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe, inclusive placements.
• Monitor learner progress and address barriers with staff and employers.
• Maintain accurate records for all work experience activity.
