Malcolm Arnold Prep School in Northampton is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support classroom delivery and pupil welfare. You will work under supervision, assist with planning cycle, manage resources, and help raise achievement for all pupils, including those with SEN and EAL, by supporting inclusive practices.

The role is 30 hours per week across 39 weeks per year (NJC4 scale). The school offers access to Local Government Pension Scheme and wellbeing benefits as part of its package.

Qualificações

• Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by supporting the work of the teacher and raising achievement of all pupils including those with SEND.
• Promote inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning.
• Support class teachers with maintaining good order and discipline and managing behaviour to ensure a safe learning environment.

Responsabilidades

• To complement the teachers' delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils and school policies and strategies.
• To undertake specified timetabled teaching duties as agreed with the Head teacher.
• To supervise whole classes occasionally during short-term absences of teachers.
• Observe pupil performance and pass observations to the class teacher.
• Direct the work of other adults in supporting learning.
• Provide feedback at the point of teaching.
