Job summary

Barlby High School is seeking an Advanced Teaching Assistant to join the team for 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, on a permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering targeted interventions, emotional support and inclusive education to help every pupil access a rich and engaging curriculum.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo, teachers and senior leaders, bringing excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting wellbeing and student development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Literacy and numeracy at GCSE Level 4 or equivalent.
• Relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions and emotional support to help overcome barriers to learning.
• Adapt support to develop independence and access to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo and senior leaders to support pupils with additional needs.
