Job summary

Barlby High School is seeking an Advanced Teaching Assistant to join our caring community. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, with responsibilities including delivering targeted interventions and emotional support to help pupils access learning.

You will work closely with teachers, SENDCo and senior leaders to ensure all students, including those with additional needs, thrive academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• GCSE level 4 (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy required.
• Ability to adapt support and foster inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions and emotional support to remove barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo and senior leaders to enable access to curriculum.
• Promote positive wellbeing and nurture an engaging classroom environment.
