Job summary

George Pindar School in Scarborough invites applications for Advanced Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team on a term-time only basis. The role is 28.75 hours per week, with a permanent post and line management by the SENDCo.

We value inclusive education and seek staff who can contribute to a nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive. Applicants should have a GCSE at level 4 or equivalent and a relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• GCSE Level 4 or equivalent required.
• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions and emotional support to help pupils access learning.
• Adapt support to individual needs and develop pupil independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo and senior leaders to support all pupils including those with additional needs.
• Help promote wellbeing and safeguarding across the classroom.
