Job summary

Woolpit Primary Academy, part of Eastern Education Group, is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with learning, social, emotional, and welfare needs. You will work closely with the class teacher to foster an inclusive environment and provide feedback on progress.

GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, are required; TA qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable. Experience with EYFS/primary and SEN/EAL is advantageous.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
• Teaching Assistant qualification such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is desirable.
• Experience with EYFS or primary-aged children is advantageous, especially with SEN or EAL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and strong organisation are required; ability to work flexibly in a busy school team.
• ICT skills including word processing applications and using iPads are required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the class teacher to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with learning, social, emotional, and welfare needs.
• Encourage engagement, independence and positive interaction; provide feedback on progress.
• Collaborate with SENCo, pastoral staff, parents and external specialists to support individual needs.
