Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Practitioner at Folkestone College to provide tailored, one-to-one and group support for students with high levels of need across Entry Level to Level 3, including GCSE English and Maths. You will assist in classrooms, workshops and enrichment activities, helping learners stay engaged and progress confidently.

The role offers regular training, a supportive team, and a positive work-life balance with no weekend or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students with a range of needs

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support in classroom and workshop settings
• Help students develop confidence, independence and active engagement in learning
• Collaborate with lecturers and other support staff to ensure an inclusive learning experience
• Support students' personal care, mobility and medical/feeding needs where required
• Receive full training to support all elements of the role
