Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner to assist students with profound needs, enabling participation in classroom and community activities. You will work closely with tutors, delivering tailored care and educational support while maintaining high safeguarding standards.

The role requires resilience, organisational skills, and a passion for helping young people progress.

Qualifications

• Experience with PMLD and related conditions (Global Development Delay, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Rare Diseases, Sensory Impairments).
• Ability to support complex medical and personal care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support for students with complex medical needs.
• Assist students with daily routines, ensuring dignity and independence.
• Deliver tailored programmes including physiotherapy, SALT and social communication activities.
• Keep accurate records to ensure safeguarding.
• Work with Class Tutor and wider staff, 1:1 or small groups.
• Support learning in classroom and community settings.
