Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Learning Support Practitioner at EKC Folkestone College to provide tailored one-to-one and group support to students with high needs across Entry Level to GCSE English and Maths.

You will assist with personal care, work with teaching staff and external professionals, and help learners develop independence; full training provided. 28 hours per week, 37 weeks per year, salary £16,227 (inc holiday pay).

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to support students with SEND.
• Understanding of behaviour management and inclusive education principles.
• Commitment to helping learners succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Provide inclusive, person-centred support to students with SEND.
• Assist learners in classroom sessions, workshops and enrichment activities.
• Offer guidance and encouragement to promote independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
• Support students in achieving their qualifications and progression goals.
• Assist with personal care where required (full training provided).
