East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner to join EKC Folkestone College. You will support students with profound needs to access education and participate in daily activities.

You will work closely with the Class Tutor and staff, provide personal care and medical support as required, and help deliver targeted programmes. A friendly, adaptable approach is essential in our busy college environment.

Qualifications

• Support students with complex and high-level needs.
• Experience with PMLD conditions including epilepsy, cerebral palsy and sensory impairments.
• Willingness to work 1:1 or in small groups with safeguarding in mind.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist care including personal care, invasive feeding and medication.
• Assist students with daily routines, promoting dignity and independence.
• Deliver tailored programmes including physiotherapy, SALT and social communication activities.
• Keep accurate records to ensure safeguarding and high standards of care.
• Work with the Class Tutor and wider staff team to support learning.
• Support learning in classroom and community settings to promote engagement.
