Job summary

Nottingham College is seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to support learners across the Basford campus on a part-time basis, Tuesday to Friday. Roles include in-class assistance, scribing, and supporting learners with diverse needs within a friendly Inclusion & Support team.

Two positions are available: 27.5 hours per week and 32.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package. We welcome applicants who can contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Providing support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment.
• Experience collaborating with cross-college teams to improve inclusion.
• Patient and objective manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support including scribing, reading, supporting in exam conditions and re-focusing.
• Where required to provide personal care which may include eating and drinking, assisting to the toilet, using a hoist and assisting learners to transport.
• Liaising with other departments cross multi-team support (wellbeing and curriculum colleagues).
• Update student records and where required log safeguarding concerns.
