Job summary

Polaris Education - Morley School in Maidenhead is seeking a thoughtful Head Teacher to lead a nurturing, inclusive school of up to 100 pupils aged 5–18 with diverse SEN needs. You will shape the educational experience, build a strong team, and uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and high standards.

The role requires strategic leadership, curriculum development, and outstanding communication with parents and partners.

Qualifications

• QTS with primary/secondary teaching experience.
• First degree and/or NPQH (not essential).
• Experience with SEN students and understanding their needs.
• Proven leadership skills and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Educational leadership to align with the Polaris ethos of compassion, inclusion and personalised learning.
• Safeguarding lead responsibilities and ensuring safeguarding policies and reporting.
• Curriculum development to meet diverse student needs and progression.
• Pastoral care and SEN advocacy, focusing on well-being and EHCP objectives.
• Staff development through mentoring and professional growth.
• Community engagement with parents, carers and external partners.
