Job summary

Academics is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Slough to appoint a dedicated Inclusion Teaching Assistant from September 2026. This long-term, full-time opportunity is ideal for graduates seeking a future in teaching, educational psychology, counselling or SEN support.

You will provide 1:1 SEN/SEMH support, assist with small-group interventions, and collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies in an inclusive setting where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Graduate with genuine interest in education and child development.
• Patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour.
• Supporting small group interventions to improve learning, confidence and engagement.
• Helping pupils develop positive relationships, emotional regulation and independence.
• Working with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to implement personalised strategies.
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
