Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an Inclusion Support Worker to join a forward-thinking secondary setting in Leeds this September 2026. You will support pupils with specific needs, deliver targeted small-group interventions, and help remove learning barriers under the SENDCo.

This full-time role focuses on building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families, maintaining accurate casework notes, and covering short-term absences when required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of child development and learning processes.
• Safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, and confidentiality policies.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SENDCo and teaching staff to assess student needs and implement support plans.
• Deliver targeted small-group learning interventions to boost literacy, numeracy and curriculum access.
• Assist teachers in planning, adapting, and evaluating specialist learning activities and resources.
• Supervise whole-class sessions during short-term teacher absences and keep pupils on task.
• Monitor, record and report individual student progress and maintain casework notes.

Working directly under the SENDCo, the post holder will support pupils with specific individual needs, deliver targeted small-group interventions, maintain professional casework records, and cover whole-class sessions on occasion during short-term teacher absences.

Essential Requirements

• Education: GCSE Maths and English (Grades A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent qualification.

• Enhanced DBS: An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
