Job summary

Randstad Education in Leeds is seeking an Inclusion Support Worker to join a forward-thinking secondary setting from September 2026. You will support pupils with specific needs, deliver targeted small-group interventions, and maintain casework records under the SENDCo's guidance.

This full-time role requires safeguarding compliance, enhanced DBS, and a proactive, collaborative approach to education, working with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure access to learning.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of child development, learning processes, and classroom roles.
  • Enhanced DBS: Update Service or willingness to apply.
  • Safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, confidentiality policies.
  • Full UK Right to Work documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SENDCo and teaching staff to assess student needs and implement individual support plans.
  • Deliver targeted small-group learning interventions to boost literacy, numeracy, and curriculum access.
  • Assist teachers in planning, adapting, and evaluating specialised learning activities and resources.
  • Supervise whole-class sessions during short-term teacher absences, keeping pupils on task.
  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress, maintain casework notes, provide feedback.
  • Build constructive communication with families and carers regarding educational progress.
  • Work with internal staff and external agencies to secure wrap-around support.
  • Provide support for examinations and assessment periods as directed by the SENDCo.
  • Prepare and utilize specialist equipment and resources for SEND requirements.

About the Role

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Inclusion Support Worker to join a forward-thinking secondary setting in Leeds this September 2026. This full-time position plays a crucial role in removing learning barriers and promoting educational attainment. Working directly under the SENDCo, the post holder will support pupils with specific individual needs, deliver targeted small-group interventions, maintain professional casework records, and cover whole-class sessions on occasion during short-term teacher absences.

Essential Requirements
  • Education: GCSE Maths and English (Grades A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent qualification.

  • Enhanced DBS: An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: Full UK Right to Work documentation.
