Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an Inclusion Support Worker to join a forward-thinking secondary setting in Leeds this September 2026. This full-time role focuses on removing learning barriers and promoting attainment, under the guidance of the SENDCo, delivering targeted small-group interventions.

You will support pupils with specific needs, maintain casework records, and occasionally cover whole-class sessions during short-term teacher absences. The school emphasises inclusion and high standards.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English (A*-C/9-4) or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS with Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: Full UK Right to Work documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and teaching staff to assess student needs and implement individual support plans.
  • Deliver targeted small-group learning interventions to boost literacy, numeracy, and curriculum access.
  • Assist teachers in planning, adapting, and evaluating specialised learning activities and resources.
  • Supervise whole-class sessions occasionally during short-term teacher absences, keeping pupils on task.
  • Monitor, record, and report on individual student progress, maintain accurate casework notes, and provide feedback.
  • Build constructive, open lines of communication with families and carers regarding educational progress.
