Job summary

Joseph Norton Academy in Huddersfield is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant / Inclusion Support Worker to support pupils with SEMH needs. We offer two career paths: a classroom-TA role and an Inclusion Support Worker role, with progression to higher roles within Wellspring Academy Trust.

Hours are 32.5 per week during term time plus inset days; travel support may be provided. We value patience, empathy and a willingness to learn and grow with our friendly, resilient team.

Responsibilities

• Keep the classroom structured and running smoothly by prepping resources and supporting reading and academic work.
• Act as a calm co-regulator during challenging moments using approved de-escalation techniques.
• Work across the school, community and families to build solid routines and support pupil progress.
