Job summary

Outwood Academy Ormesby is seeking an Inclusion Officer to lead inclusive practice for students, especially those with SEND. You will oversee tailored intervention plans (Wave 1–3), monitor progress, and coordinate staff deployments to maximise outcomes for vulnerable learners.

The role requires safeguarding expertise, strong communication, and experience with JCQ procedures, DBS clearance, and collaboration with SENDCO and Early Help services.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment with vulnerable/SEN students.
• Experience safeguarding and child protection.
• Understanding JCQ Exam Access Arrangement procedures.
• Satisfactory DBS check mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the academy complies with the SEND Code of Practice and support the SENDCO in identifying needs and embedding inclusive interventions.
• Lead the creation, monitoring, and review of tailored intervention plans (Wave 1, 2 and 3).
• Oversee SEN Support Interim Reviews and monitor student outcomes quarterly.
• Coordinate deployment of resources including Teaching Assistants and support Early Help Assessment, CP, CIN and LAC processes.
• Manage Exam Access Arrangement referrals to ensure JCQ compliance.
